“Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Ephesians 5: 19, 20.
The purpose and objective of the Creative Arts Ministry at Lexington Community Church is three fold:
1. We desire to glorify God through biblical, Christ-centered worship (John 4:23-24).
2. We desire to equip every team member to function in their own calling and giftedness for ministry (Ephesians 4:11-13).
3. We desire to reach our community and the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ through the creative use of music & the arts (Psalm 9: 11 & 96:3).
We offer the following ministry opportunities and support teams for people to participate in:
• Praise Team – This group helps lead worship week to week and offers special music and seasonal productions.
• Praise Band - This team is composed of piano, keyboards, bass guitar, electric guitars, acoustic guitar, percussion & drums and helps lead worship in our weekly services.
• Drama Team – We utilize drama in a number of different ways at Community Church. Besides participating in worship services by providing thought provoking vignettes, our drama team does seasonal and other special events.
• Tech Team – Team members are able to serve “behind the scenes” assisting with lights, sound, and video equipment. This team offers technological enhancement of contemporary worship.

• PRO Team – The PRO Team is Lexington Community Church’s promotion and production team. This team is passionate about reaching the lost for Jesus Christ through the use of advanced technology in the technical and graphic arts field. The PRO Team is responsible for finding creative ways of communicating what is offered through the church as well as surrounding church events and activities.
